WHY MAGNA CARTA?
The Great Charter of English Liberties granted by King
John in 1215. Drafted at Runneymede beside the River Thames between
Windsor and Staines, now in the county of Surrey. It is the intention to
twin Runneymede, Surrey with Runnemede, Tobago.
Runnemede, Tobago is the starting point of Main Ridge, Tobago, which is
the highest point on the island, and the oldest Rain Forest in the Western
Hemisphere.
Runnemede, Tobago is one of the very few places on earth where “Time
Has Stood Still”. There has been little development since 1215 and the
area is known for its antique architecture. It is as if in some uncanny
way its modern history is inextricably linked to the past hence the reason
for naming the Resort Magna Carta. Needless to say, the view at the Magna
Carta is indeed breathtaking. Its elevation offers its visitors a scenic
pleasure and fresh air at its purest since there are no factories on the
island. The development is within a veritable Bird Sanctuary where Bird
Watchers (twitchers) from all over the world come to see and hear Nature’s
feathered orchestras.
It is certainly the place to find true peace and commune with one's
maker.
The first phase of the development consists of (10) ten acres of land
with roads and villa sites already developed whereby each villa is to be
called by an English sub-title e.g. Duchess, Princess etc.
The project has full Government approvals and concessions for 10 villas
and a multi purpose building suitable for an exclusive up-market Rustic
Cabana styled hilltop Nature Resort.
Business plan available upon request.
